CP-EDS is a kind of organo clay rheological additive. It is used in systems of medium polarity and high polarity system. CP-EDS is suitable for Aromatic solvent system and no-solvent inks, sealant and adhesive..

Application

      CP-EDS is used in the following applications:

Ÿ   Lubricating grease

Ÿ   Paints

Ÿ   Inks

Ÿ   Cosmetics

Ÿ   Cleaning agent



Using

CP-EDS When it is used in grease, suitable polar activators are acetone, 95% ethanole, 95% methanol, dipropyl carbonate. Procedures are suggested as below:

1.Heat the solvent to 60~70

2. Add CP-EDS (7%-10% in weight of total formulation) under agitation.

3. Add polar activator (3% of in weight of total formulation) and other additives, mix at high speed for 25-30 minutes.

4. Pump it to pass through gel grinder or homogenizer.

5. Air driving, filtering, and packing.

In other application, no need to heat the solvent, but pre-gel procedure is necessary.Commonly addition level is 0.2%-2%.
