Activated clay is made from fine native calcium bentonite by purfing and chemical treatment. It has a large specific surface area, rich bubble structure and surface acid core with high physical and chemical adsorbility and cation exchange ability. It owns properties of excellent expansion ratio, high filter efficiency and little remaining oil.
Activated clay is mainly used as decolourizer for lubricant oil, white oil, diesel oil, kerosence, gasline, paraffin was petrolatum, industry oil, edible animal oil, vegetable oil and chemicals made from petroleum. It is also used as catalystic carriers in sewage treatment and in dehydration of chemicals.
